Here is another fantastic piece of creative writing that was brought into the Library. A fantastic piece of poetry by Ealysh Gibson (Y9).

The Price.

This is stupid -

Being forced to write something to rival the beauty of cupid.

Expected to gain high grades and marks,

In the future

Earning Dollars, Pounds and Marks*.

Because pressure put on us today

Is affecting our minds - making us pay.

In the long run

Everything's a little less fun.

Ealysh Gibson.

* Marks were a currency used in Germany between 1914 and 1923 following the end of World War I.

Hi my name is Sophie and right now I'm just a baby blogger. I'm a lifelong reader, aspiring writer, rainbow aficionado, personal servant of two cats called Shadow and Midnight, and recently engaged to the love of my life (coincidentally pictured in the photo with me). When I'm not reading or writing, you can usually find me painting furniture, or binge-watching teen drama/supernatural tv series'.
